CO-OP Certification For Healthcare Professionals

  • Aim

    The aim of this course is to certify proficiency** in the application of the CO-OP Approach with high fidelity.

  • Format

    Provided in small groups (ratio max 1:6), in a variety of languages, in person or virtually by a certified CO-OP Instructor. Format details for the course are outlined here.

  • Target Audience

    Qualified (Health) Professionals who have met the prerequisites listed below.

  • At the End of This Course

    At the end of this course, participants will have demonstrated proficiency in applying the CO-OP Approach with at least one client or participant. Note: This is an evaluative process, not a formative one.

  • Prerequisite

    Completion of CO-OP: The Comprehensive Workshop*** and experience with using the Approach.

  • Note

    Certification courses will be run when a minimum of 4 people are available. If you are interested to become a Certified CO-OP therapist, please complete the Expression of Interest Form and indicate your preferred dates based on the course calendar.

    A custom course can also be arranged if you have 4 to 6 interested and qualified (health) professionals. Please contact the ICAN office to get more information.

Students* from High Income countries and individuals who receive their main income from a country that is not classified as High Income according to the World Bank classification** $157.50 CAD
Students from a country that is not classified as High Income according to the World Bank classification** $122.50 CAD

*The Student Rate applies to those who are a student at the time of registration. Students are those studying in an entry level education program to become an occupational therapist, or qualified health professional or who are undertaking full time doctoral studies or similar post entry level education. A valid document, i.e. student card or letters issued by the school/university/institution must accompany the student registration.
